Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement governing your use of Pitaka+, a personal finance tracker.

By accessing or using Pitaka+, you represent that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using this app and must discontinue use immediately.

Pitaka+ is a personal finance tracker that helps you keep track of your finances in one place. You enter and manage all your records yourself.

Important Service Boundary:

Pitaka+ does not connect directly to your bank accounts, brokerage accounts, digital wallets, or other financial institutions. All financial information must be entered and managed manually by you.

Your financial data belongs to you. Your account details, transaction entries, snapshots, and financial history are stored on your own device and synced to your own Google Drive.

We do not transmit, analyze, or back up your financial data to our servers. Clearing your browser's application cache, history, or storage deletes the copy of your records on that device, and Clear App Data also deletes your synced copy in Google Drive. We recommend regularly exporting a backup of your data from the Settings page.

You log in with your Google Account, and Pitaka+ will securely store and synchronize your data in your personal Google Drive's app data.

Your synced data goes directly between your browser and your own Google Drive. We never see or store your financial data or your Google password. To keep sync connected, Pitaka+ keeps an encrypted sign-in key, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Ask Pitaka feature in Pitaka+ uses Google Gemini to analyze the financial information you choose to share and offer budgeting and savings suggestions.

Financial Disclaimer: Any insights, summaries, suggestions, projections, or comments provided by Ask Pitaka or Pitaka+ are strictly for informational and educational purposes. We do not provide licensed financial planning, investment advice, legal advice, or tax advice. Always consult with a certified financial professional before making significant wealth decisions.

As a user, you agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security-related features of Pitaka+ or Google integrations.
• Use the optional Ask Pitaka feature to submit malicious inputs or prompt-injection attempts, or to share passwords, PINs, OTPs, or other sensitive credentials.
• Incorporate Pitaka+ in commercial offerings without our prior written consent.
• Use automated scraping, web crawlers, or extraction tools on Pitaka+ interfaces.

Unless otherwise indicated, Pitaka+ is our proprietary property. All source code, database architectures, designs, audio, video, text, graphics, and logos are owned or licensed by us, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

Pitaka+ is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. In no event shall we or our contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, investment losses, or application downtime) arising in any way out of the use of this software.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless, including our officers, partners, and employees, from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees and expenses, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of Pitaka+.

These Terms of Service remain in full force and effect while you use Pitaka+. You may terminate your use of Pitaka+ at any time by wiping your local storage data and removing Pitaka+'s access in your Google Account.

These Terms and your use of Pitaka+ are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
